Anne from The Modern Mrs. Darcy has this as regular feature and link up at her blog, and I thought it would be fun to write one too. Here I will share some little and big things that are making my life better.
At Home Pedicures
My feet desperately need TLC. I work 12 hour shifts on concrete floors, which makes my poor feet look so rough! And it’s summertime! I don’t want rough looking feet! I want to be able to wear sandals and flip flops and know that my feet look cute. So I started doing at-home pedicures in May. And while they’re not as great as professional pedicures, they still feel amazing.
I hate blow drying my hair in the summertime! But if I don’t my hair can look really funky and flat. That’s where Garnier Fructis Texturizing Spray comes in! I put a little in my hair, let it air dry, and it gives me pretty wavy hair. It’s easy and uncomplicated! Which is what I want my summertime look to be.
I was headed into my first reading slump of the year, but then Stephen King’s End of Watch came out! I love retired detective Bill Hodge, and his friends Holly and Jerome! And Brady Hartsfeld is one terrifying bad guy. It made for a hard-to-put-down read! And it my reading game is back on! I’ve read 25 books this year so far!
Mu websites have always saved me. I started my first one when I was 20 years old and I was going through a bit of a depression. I started The Geeky Shopaholic in 2010 when I was going through a rough time at work. My blog is always there to offer an outlet, and a way to be creative. Which is something that this Pisces desperately needs!
Women Winning Online
I just started joining Facebook groups this year, and I really can’t believe I ignored them for so long! One of my favorite groups is Women Winning Online. This group has more interaction and participation than any other group I belong to. Jen, the owner, is great! She has created a safe place for us to ask questions and share our ideas. If you’ve been thinking about joining a Facebook group for bloggers, I highly recommend this one!
I was single for so many years! So I really do appreciate having someone to share my life with. We can vent to each other, support each other, have fun adventures together. It’s amazing! And we just celebrated our one year anniversary!
So, what about you? What is good in your life right now? What is keeping you sane? The little things! The big things! Let me know in the comments!
